Eco-Friendly Hair Dye

March 2nd, 2009 at 8:15 pm

It should be no surprise that hair dye is bad for our health and the environment. Between the ammonia, benzene, coal tar, lead acetate, and other toxic compounds found in hair dye, you may have wondered if it were possible for there to be an eco-friendly counterpart. The answer is yes. Although these products are not mainstream in stores, there are several online retailers that sell hair dye without the toxic chemicals. Check out Susan Henry’s Natural Color Process. The prices are surprisingly affordable and are recommended by “Gorgeously Green” author Sophie Uliano.

Make your hair color…more natural.
